About BengalsThe Bengal is a relatively new breed, created in the United States of America by crossing an Asian Leopard Cat with a domesticated cat. After many years of research and hard work, we are very lucky today to have these beautiful domesticated cats with the look of their wild ancestors. The Bengals have two distinctive markings which are the Spotted / Rosetted and also the Marbled. The Bengals colours include - Brown, Snows (Lynx, Mink and Sepia), Silver and also Black and Blue.

Bengals do tend to go through a 'fuzzy stage,' when they are kittens, this usually occurs a couple of weeks after they are born and can last until they are roughly 5 months old, sometimes longer. The diet of a Bengal is as a normal domestic cat, which can consist of fresh minced chicken, beef or lamb, good quality dry food such as IAMS or ADVANCE and the occasional can food. Fresh water everyday is also essential, as Bengals are rather energetic and will spend most of the day running around crazy! Bengals are jam packed full of energy and love being played with. They are very curious and will follow you around everywhere. Bengals get on extremely well with other cats and also dogs. Bengals love the water, and sometimes you will find that they may jump into the bath or shower while the water is running. |
