You should never ignore cat symptoms if detected because they can serve as warnings to your pet’s health which may be life threatening if untreated. 1. Coughing
Your cat can cough and this is normal if it happen only occasionally as the fur ball it licked may have irritated its throat. Get your cat checked if the cough continues and becomes persistent.
2. Diarrhea/Diarrhea
Your cat needs to see the vet if it is suffering from diarrhea. Problems like dehydration can be serious and may damage your pet’s health.
3. Fever/Fever/
Just like we humans suffer from a fever, so can cats. Your cat has a fever if, when you feel her ears, they are abnormally warm. Let her have plenty or rest and water to prevent dehydration. Check with you vet if necessary to be safe.
4. Vomiting/Vomiting
People are always concerned when they see their cat throw up, particularly new cat owners. Cats will frequently vomit. As they clean themselves up by licking their fur very often and the fur balls which irritate their throats cause them to vomit. If your cat vomits excessively it could be something more serious and the assistance of your vet should be sought.
Also be aware of any adverse change in your cat’s behaviour, if she is losing weight for instance, or refusing to eat or drink. You will know how she is feeling with symptoms like this.
