Silver Bengal Kitten

I’m getting a silver Bengal Cat, and I’m trying to think of a name for her. For those who do not know what the aspect of a Silver Bengal Cat, here is the site for you: http://www.stardustbengals.co.uk/images/silver-shadow2.jpg Could someone help me with the ideas for names? Thanks!

I personally LOVE Bengals. They are my favorite breed of cat. I especially like the Bengals with rosettes. Now you are getting a silver Bengal and obviously the its color is silver. To give it a name, you could start with the basics by using synonyms of names used on race as a name (ie, a “show Barncat” could be called “speckled” or “splot”). Let’s start with the silver. There are many adjectives of silver, so I’ll pick my favorites. I recommend this site http://www.rhymezone.com or this http://www.onelook.com/?loc=rz4&w=*ver&scwo=1&sswo=1 if you want to find some synonyms, antonyms, or songs on your own.

Here are the results for silver: 1 silver. Tin 2. Argent (- “o” or – “a”, if you want to specify gender) 3. Act 4. Chromium (could be written “Krome” just for fun) 5. And, of course, you could just use the name of “Silver”. Then you can think of words that could be used instead of “Bengal”. Bengal ** ** 1. Raya 2. Bandy (Bandi) 3. Bengal is also an acceptable name for a cat, if I may say so.

This method is not always preferred. But do not worry, there are others! You can think of things that correspond to parts of the name of the race (ie, a Black Labrador could be the name of coal, because coal is black). Silver ** ** 1. Variations Luna: moon, lunar dust, moonlight, Luna, etc. 2. Star Variations: STARLIGHT, Stardust Starshine, Starfall, etc. 3. Cloud 4. Metal (Female, Metallica) 5. Light 6. Foxy (In honor of the Silver Fox) 7. Precious (Attributed to silver as the metal) 8. Arrow (very masculine, attributed to silver arrowheads)

** ** Bengal: 1. Tiger then we can use words associated with both the name of race and as attributes of the breed or species (ie, a turtle can be appointed or “Slowpoke” or, conversely, “Speedy”) ** ** Silver: 1. Gloss 2. Ray 3. Twink (Twinkle, Twinkie) 4. Sheen (Shane) ** ** cat: 1. Spry (Spryte) 2. Grace (Grace) 3. Sophie (shortening of “sophisticated”) 4. Felicity (Bit of a play on words, cats are usually content, and also called “cat”) You may also want to wait and watch his cat. Once you have found his personality, appearance, you may want to choose a name based off of these characteristics (for example, a very affectionate cat could be called “Snuggles”, or a short “Stubbs”).

** Personality / Appearance ** 1. Grump 2. Angel 3. Princess 4. Hugs 5. Psycho 6. Twiggy 7. Brindle 8. Briar 9. Strip 10. Jump 11. Sapphire (eye) Finally, you can always choose a name that means something special for you. You can name your cat after a person who is very dear to you, or call a word that has special meaning in your life (ie the name of his cat “Beth” after his great-grandmother Elizabeth, or “hope” because that word has a special meaning for you) ** Some names I like **: 1. Greed, “Sissi” for short 2. Dovasary 3. Slayer 4. Pretty 5. Pierce 6. Talon 7. Falcon 8. Tanoshimi, “Tano” for short at 9. Strawberry, “bear” of “Berry” for short 10. Freedom “Libbie”. Hope you can find some inspiration names through these methods and suggestions. Enjoy your new kitty!
