Is purchasing a new Bengal Cat a bad idea?
Hi, I have a thought of buying a kitten so that my one year old bengal will have a company and a new playmate. What should I get? A man cat or a woman since my cat has been neutered? I do not want them to fight whenever the new cat arrive. So what is the effective way to do? Helpful suggestions is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
There is an expression that says, “Bengals are like potato chips, can not have just one.” I think your Bengal is quite young and can adapt to a new playmate. Male cats generally tend to be more territorial, and male cats, in general, tend to be quieter. I would say the sex of the cat who decides to adopt is entirely yours. However, I advise that you get another Bengal. Bengals play hard and play often. A “normal” run-of-the-mill domestic cat may not appreciate Bengal rough-housing. We have a man eight years retired as a companion to our brave 2 years retired, the breeder. The Women is undoubtedly the leader of it, and, after all, she came to our first house – for intrusion into their territory… It took some time, but now we find cuddle and sleep together, and sometimes even to share my lap! Be sure to make the presentations correctly! There are all sorts of sources on how to enter properly their pets. You may also want to buy Feliway spray at first, which can help calm the nerves of the cat. Good luck!
