Can I tell if my cat is a Bengal?
I'm trying to figure out if I am correct in assuming that it is a flare. She is fascinated by the water, very active and playful, very night, loves to climb everything, curious about everything, and has markings similar to a flare. She is full grown, but still on the smaller side, light gray to dark "spots", his face has a lot of marks, the belly is white and his back legs are longer than the front. The only reason I am sure that their marks on the back and sides are not as distcintly way I've seen in pictures. But in all other attributes that seems to be a flare.
Unless there is documentation to verify their heritage, which is a domestic short hair (or a Bengal look alike if you prefer.) You can still get the pattern of spots in any tabby – is not unique to the Bengals, but certainly not seen as often as mackerel or classic tabby patterns. She sounds like a beautiful cat, however, both in appearance and personality!
