Trying to save money on Cat Supplies (ideas?)?

Hello, I have two big cats. I love them. Anyway, my girlfriend and I have improved the house, she’s more stringent now and wants me to give the cats away as we don’t have much money. She suggested I try to find a child who loves cats and give them to children so that we can save money. But I want to see if there are ways out there to save money on cat supplies or simply be more efficient with cats. I shop at Costco / Petco. My cats are happy with each other, have one good toy, and some healthy treats. I think it’s food and garbage that could be more efficient with. Any ideas? I do not mind spending a little more now to save on long-term. Thanks, George

PETCO stop shop to begin with – their prices are crazy! Do your shopping online for general supplies. http://www.drsfostersmith.com (ideal for toiletries, bedding, treats) http://www.petedge.com (impressive in toy prices, wide selection of grooming supplies, cat tree cheap) Food can sometimes be found cheaper online but you have to pay shipping its not often much more of a saving. Do you have a cooperative farm near where you live? Not only are a large part the best quality of food (which definitely should not switch to lower food to save money), but their prices are much better than Petco and other retailers. Example – my Tiki cats love canned cat food. In pet stores is $ 0.79 – $ 0.99. Cans in my local co-op is only $0.65. They also carry larger bags of the Royal Canin for my cats like Persians. Instead of paying about $ 20 – $ 22 for a bag of seven pounds I can buy a bag of 15 pounds for about $ 32. Always save money by buying bigger bags. I found some great inexpensive locking containers to keep food fresh. They are at Target in the pet department. Don’t cut costs for your pets by feeding them unhealthy food waste from corn. Compare prices for quality food at better prices and in large quantities. As for garbage – nothing beats wood pellet stove. It not only totally removes the smell of urine, but it absorbs moisture, dry landfills you can buy a 40-pound bag for about five dollars! It’s the same compressed pine sawdust as Feline Pine faceless cat in the bag for more than eight times the price! It can be found in the Home Depot, Lowes and Homestore  and most other grocery stores like Safeway, Fred Meyer and Albertsons here in the U.S. Northwest. Once the weather begins to warm the place to find more agricultural cooperation-ops. They are often used by people with horses in the stalls to reduce odor and make cleaning jobs easier. I found there for much less – about $ 3.50 per bag of 40 pounds! Good luck with school and home. I bought a house last year so totally feel for you. I’ve been doing a lot of things that make my money stretch a bit more to spend money on sprucing up the yard and what does not!

Christina Aguilera

$2.57

Like fellow former Mickey Mouse clubber Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera kicks off her debut album with a teen-lust nugget–in this case, the No. 1 single “Genie in a Bottle”–that the rest of the disc can’t possibly live up to. Aguilera has a strong voice, but patterns herself after iffy role models such as Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Aside from “Genie,” most of this music is straight fro…
