Can anyone tell me what a lynx cat or Bengal Ocicat personality is like?
I’m thinking of getting one, but before buying a $ 1000, 30 lbs cat is going to destroy the furniture and the people living in the house, I would like a fair warning … lol
Bengals are not hybrids wild cat. Domestic cats are seen only large supposedly * * act a little crazier than normal. I have half of Bengal have rescued, and is the more lazy, dog-like cat in the face of the earth. They are definitely bigger than normal cats (mine weighs about 20 pounds), but not all wild. Ocicats Lynx cats are a different story. It will destroy your home, which might attack you, and, finally, to attack and kill any small game to come through. Also is very difficult to keep healthy, half of their genetic makeup is calling for a diet of fresh-killed wild meat, and most people throw the cats dry food for them. My grandfather, against all advice, bought a year ago Serval (another small wild cat) and who only lived to 3 years old. Died due to complications from poor diet, and actually ate raw meat and supplements, but it just was not enough. Hybrid Wildcats may have the stomach a little more forgiving, but maybe not. There is also a strong possibility that not think much of their ideas litter box, preferring to mark their territory in batteries and do not stink the whole house. Claws and teeth most likely be a problem, and is cruel and disgusting to eliminate any of those (again, as many hybrids and wild owners do) in an attempt to force the child to live within its rules. If you insist on a hybrid I suggest you be prepared to devote a room in the house, the staff room cat feeding at least a combination of wild game meat (Duck, rabbit, deer, etc), plus a diet of canned cat food holistic natural, and accustomed to the idea of carpets broken and a horrible smell in your home. If decide to go the way of Bengal, which strongly suggest, is blessed with a * very * wild looking cat with a personality much more domestic. Also note that are becoming more and more laws against nature and hybrid animals as pets, if the hybrid does not live more than a couple of years, you may find yourself being forced to leave their property to rent or let your home insurance just for owning one.
